A joint meeting of members of both houses of the Central Legislature, initiated by Mrs. Annie Besant, decided to call for a convention for the framing of a Constitution.

Bombay session of INC 

At this session Motilal Nehru moved a resolution calling up on the Congress working committee to frame a Constitution for India.

All Part Conference Meeting

In all party conference a committee was set up under the Chairmanship of Motilal Nehru to determine the principles of the Constitution of India

Round Table Discussions

Three round table conferences were held between the National leaders of India and the British Government to discuss Constitutional Reforms in India, these discussions reflected in the Government of India Act 1935. The white paper issued after the third Round Table Conference outlined the British Government’s proposal for constitutional reforms in India.
